Hamilton CapTel to offer demonstrations of the CapTel 800i Captioned Telephone at the LeadingAge Conference

Hamilton CapTel will be in Washington D.C. exhibiting at the LeadingAge Conference Oct. 16 ‐ 19 at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. Hamilton will be providing free demonstrations of the CapTel 800i captioned telephone at booth #1101. This will be Hamilton CapTel's first year attending the LeadingAge Conference.

The Hamilton CapTel 800i telephone allows individuals with hearing loss to enjoy clarity on every call by providing word-for-word captions of what is said to them during a conversation. Users can listen to what the other person says while reading captions of what's said on the bright display window of the phone - not missing a word of the conversation.

"For individuals with hearing loss, it can seem impossible to use the telephone," said Dixie Ziegler, vice president of Hamilton CapTel. "When you see someone with hearing loss use a CapTel 800i for the first time, you witness the moment they realize they can now make phone calls with confidence – what seemed impossible is now possible."

As a first-time exhibitor, Hamilton CapTel was eager to get involved in many of the fun and educational elements unique to the LeadingAge conference. In addition to offering demonstrations of the CapTel 800i at their booth, Hamilton CapTel will be providing a unique sticker for attendees to place on their LeadingAge Bingo Cards. Also, Hamilton CapTel will be on display in the LeadingAge Idea House Monday ‐ Wednesday from 8AM ‐ 5PM. The Idea House is an exciting destination of full-scale rooms and open-air spaces showcasing the latest innovations in products and services.

"The LeadingAge Conference is about discovery - finding tools that help maintain independence," said Ziegler. "We are proud to attend LeadingAge and to participate in the various activities at the event while providing a valuable independence-enhancing tool to seniors."
