Receiving a Web CapTel Call
Receiving calls with Hamilton Web CapTel is easy. Once you have logged in, you type in your current telephone number under the Receive Call heading. Then click the Start Waiting For Calls button.
When you receive a call, your Web browser screen will change to the Caption Screen at which point your phone will be ringing. Upon answering your phone, captions of what the caller is saying will be on-screen.
Please Note: In order to receive captions through Web CapTel, the person calling you must first dial the Web CapTel Call Center at 1-800-933-7219 and then enter your number directly, ending with the pound (#) sign. This is a toll-free 800 number, so there are no additional charges to you or the person calling you. And the benefit is a clear, readable conversation.
